Hi MBAC Parents

Happy New Year!   We had a great turn out for the Christmas Camp, and the snow conditions are now improving at Baldy.  It was exciting to see snowboarders attend the camp and also join the club in the new snowboard program.  This year Josh Shulman is coaching the boarders,  and we welcome any new boarders to join the club this year.   As you know Yanni will be having knee surgery in Feb, but she couldn’t miss a Christmas Camp.  It was great to have her and she will be around for a few more weeks.  We welcome our new coach, Peter Lundy.  He was raised in Ontario in the Windsor area.  He raced at a high level, and then retired from racing to coach at his home hill in Ontario.   He has his level one coaching and is keen to help develope our racers at Baldy.  Owen Stewart returns to coach our kids this year bringing his positive energy to the Baldy team.  Owen has done a great job these last two years building the skill level of our program.

This Sunday Jan. 6th 2019 is the start of the NG Program and snowboarding program.  The AM program starts at 930 and the PM program starters at 1:00.   Please meet 15 minutes before so that the coach’s can organize the groups.  I will be present as well to take payment and waiver forms, those who have already paid and sent their waivers forms, thank you.  I will be registering your children into the BC Alpine web site, the deadline for this is Jan 25th.   Please forward me this information ASAP.   Some have asked if their kids can attend both AM and PM programs, and the answer is yes.  We want your children to have fun, some can only do a 1/2 day and others are keen to do more.  Please let your coaches know if your child will attend the AM and PM programs so they are prepared for the numbers ahead of time.
